Our Story

DESCO Firearm Solutions was born at the intersection of passion and purpose. Co-founders Gabe Collins and Christian first met through a local shooting club tournament — a place where skill, reliability, and community mattered. Week after week, discussions at the range turned into ideas, sketches, and questions: What if we could build accessories that actually solved the challenges we face as shooters? What if we could do it better?

With Christian’s background in precision machining and Gabe’s operational mindset, honed during 8 years of Naval service, the foundation for DESCO took shape. After months of research, prototyping, and late nights in the shop, DESCO Firearm Solutions officially launched — built on the belief that great products start with deep passion, integrity, and grit.

Meet the founder.

Gabe grew up in small-town Nebraska with a passion for recreational shooting that started early and only grew stronger. By the time he was a teenager, he was competing in trap leagues and saving every spare dollar for gear and ammo.

After high school, Gabe attended the U.S. Naval Academy, where he joined the High Power Rifle Team — a formative experience that taught him the importance of precision shooting, consistency, and performance under pressure. Upon graduation, Gabe served as a Surface Warfare Officer, completing multiple tours aboard the USS LASSEN (DDG 82) and USS MILWAUKEE (LCS 5), before finishing his active duty service at Naval Station Great Lakes.

During that time, his interest in NFA items deepened, and he began exploring how the right gear could elevate performance. Eventually, that curiosity turned into conviction: it was time to build something better.
